FungusClear Ultra uses a three in one action to control fungal diseases on roses, other flowering and ornamental plants, trees, shrubs and conifers in the garden, greenhouse, conservatory and home. Similar non-chemical control measures can help to prevent infection by leaf spot fungi, downy mildew and grey mould,which are all 'wet weather' diseases (see the 'biology' section, below): Apply on still, cloudy days, spraying evenly to wet upper and lower surfaces of the leaves. The leaves must just be wet and no run-off coming from the leaves. Do not apply near food crops as it can contaminate the plants in question. The fungicide tebuconazole with trifloxystrobin (Provanto Fungus Fighter Plus, Toprose Fungus Control & Protect) has a recommendation for the control of leaf spots on ornamental plants. Additionally, the fungicides tebuconazole (Provanto Fungus Fighter Concentrate) and triticonazole (Fungus Clear Ultra) are labelled for the control of other diseases on ornamental plants, and could therefore be used legally on Veronica(at the owner’s risk) to try and control the leaf spotting. It is particularly good at these fungal diseases but it can also have some effect in tree suffering from anthracnose and conifers from leaf blight. For other fungal infection in the garden, it will be a trial and error process. It may treat it or it may not have any effect at all. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH PLANTS SUFFERING FROM BOTRYTIS A systemic product is a chemical that is absorbed through the whole leaves. The plant that makes the chemical to mimic the protection to all leaves, stems and roots.
