The disks themselves are dark blue and come in Evangelion themed cases with the Unit-01 case containing the Netflix dub, and the Unit-02 case containing the ADV Dub. As shown in the comparison list above, both the Classic English dub discs (5 in total) as well as The End of Evangelion video format version (which was on its own disc) are not included in the standard edition release. Many of the tropes are still there, and on the surface, the show does appear to be about giant robots battling kaiju from space. Despite the number of episodes per disc, the series runs at a consistently high bit rate, so there are few compression artifacts to note.
