Finally, Assassinorum: Kingmaker – also by Robert Rath – hands a Vindicare and Callidus assassin duo the most dangerous mission of their lives, navigating the complex hierarchy of a Knight World and the deadly succession crisis that engulfs it. After all, even their prodigious combat skills might not be enough when the miscreants they are hunting pilot building-sized Imperial Knights. If the Tactical Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Assault Doctrine is now active.

The Code Chivalric, a new set of rules providing buffs to your Knights for achieving glorious deeds. Imperial Knights however have a problem; they have a rule similar to the Assassins one but it’s missing the whole second part in comparison. Both technologies remain in use throughout the Third Imperium, but not under widespread, commonplace usage. Neither technology is permanent or long-lasting. Wafer personalities and skillset abilities rarely last for more than thirty days. Both technologies temporarily overwrite and replace part or the whole of the host mind. Some details of the wafer-mind supplementation process are still not well understood.

Units with the ORDO MALLEUS, ORDO HERETICUS, ORDO XENOS or ORDO MINORIS keyword gain the respective ability below: The chronicle of Bland reveals secrets of the history of the star-spanning Third Imperium and spans 400 years from early Imperium (about year 300) through the mid-post Civil War period (about year 700) touching known and unknown events you may have encountered in your own reading of the Imperium: everyday events, political intrigue, deadly dangers, Arbellatra, Capital, Encyclopediopolis, the Karand's Palace, and a Tigress-class Dreadnought. The Rogue Trader Entourage is… weird. It’s both a CHARACTER and a RETINUE unit, and is able to lead either Imperial Navy Breachers or Voidsmen-at-Arms. The four models have a variety of light weapons and grant Infiltrators to a unit they’re leading. The really interesting ability is Warrant of Trade, which allows you to redeploy D3 IMPERIUM BATTLELINE units and even put them into Strategic Reserve.

But can I field a detachment with one AGENT that doesn't use a slot and then a bunch of other AGENTS that do? There’s a few levels to this; first of all the Space Wolves detachment would continue to be one even with Assassin in it, however due to their inability to be in the same detachment now that part doesn’t do much any more. The rule then continues:

Models cannot target a unit that contains any CHARACTER models with a Wounds characteristic of 9 or less with a ranged weapon while that CHARACTER unit is within 3" of any of the following: Now, that's pretty clear that I can only include one AGENT OF THE IMPERIUM without taking up a detachment slot. Fine. A friendly unit that contains 1 or more VEHICLE or MONSTER models with a wounds characteristic of 10 or more.
