To me* it looks like the fonts on the old Celebrations cards is a bit different than the originals, like the “Pokemon Power: Energy Burn” text on Charizard. Perhaps new versions of Photoshop render the fonts differently?

The Rare Rainbow Pokemon cards feature holographic foil designs and alternate art for popular Pokemon such as Charizard and Blastoise. The cards also include a special message printed on them, giving each one a unique feel. Other rare cards from Celebrations: Classic Collection include Full Art Ultra Rare cards of Pikachu, Gyarados, and Eevee, as well as a secret rare Shiny version of the same cards. I see the Celebrations Charizard being a nice compromise for these people, a consolation. It's a beautiful tribute to the original while also still being its own thing. People will be able to buy one in good condition at a fraction of the price of a base set in poor condition. Still, even a fraction of that price is going to be a lot. My logic could be flawed - I'm pretty new to all of this still.

Of course, by far the most valuable card in the entire of Celebrations is based on the game's most valuable card full stop. Base Set Charizard has fetched hundreds of thousands at auction, and almost single-handedly drove last year's surge in demand for the game.

The Japanese 25th Anniversary version is also a viable option from an investment point of view. As time goes on, getting a base set Charizard is going to become harder and harder to achieve. For some, it's just going to be out of reach. But obviously people are always going to want it and want that design - it's nostalgic, it's classic, it's iconic. We’d opt for the Gold Metal Charizard as the best investment piece, depending on whether the likes of PSA come up with a method to grade the card safely.
