TIP: Use Logitech Options to view available gesture sets and assign gestures to the middle button or to other mouse controls. USB receiver: Plug the receiver into a USB port, open Logitech Options, and select: Add devices> Setup Unifying device, then follow the instructions.

You can install Logitech Options software to receive battery status notifications, including low-charge warnings. LED ColorIn addition to enabling the buttons for use with Macs, Logitech Options software lets you assign other useful functions to the buttons, including undo/redo, OS navigation, volume up/down, and more. Press and hold the Easy-Switch button for three seconds. This will put the mouse in discoverable mode so that it can be seen by your computer. The LED will start blinking fast. Battery life remains exceptional, with a promise of up to 70 days on a charge and up to three hours of use from 60 seconds on the charging cord. You can still connect to three different devices, and the mouse is compatible with just about every OS, including macOS 11 or later, Windows 10 and 11, Linux, ChromeOS, iPadOS 14 or later, and Android 9.0 or later.

A minimum of a three-minute charge gives you enough power for a full day of use. Depending on how you use the mouse, a full charge can last up to 70 days*. I had no problems switching from a Dell laptop connected to the mouse via the USB dongle to an HP system connected to the mouse via Bluetooth. All you need to do is pair your first device, then press the button to switch channels (this will enable pairing mode) and connect to the second device. If the mouse isn't connecting, you can press the "Easy-switch" button and hold it for three seconds to manually activate pairing. We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.4. At home or on the move, the Logitech MX Anywhere is a compact marvel and a joy to use

Like other Logitech MX mice, the MX Anywhere 3S has a MagSpeed scroll wheel that uses magnets that allow it to toggle between Freespin and Ratchet modes. You can initiate this change by hitting the Shift wheel mode button or using the SmartShift feature which changes modes based on how fast you are spinning the wheel.

Depending on how you use the mouse, a full charge can last up to 70 days.* Whether I was editing documents, surfing the web, or doing photo editing, the MX Anywhere 3S provided extremely smooth and accurate pointer control. The sensor worked really well, even when I tried using it on a variety of weird surfaces, including my pants, a strip of clear plastic, and holding it against a glass window. The LED blinks slowly until fully charged, when it is lit steadily. (The LED shuts off when you remove the cable.) When you install Logitech options, you can install predefined app-specific settings that will adapt the mouse button behavior to the selected applications.Connecting to my laptop with the USB receiver was effortless; I just wish Logitech found a place to store the dongle in the mouse. Options+ is Logitech’s go-to customization software for all its recent gear, available in both Mac and Windows flavors. In addition to the customization you'd expect such as button assignments and scroll wheel speed, it also offers Logitech's Flow feature, which lets you move between computers (and even operating systems) while dragging files along with you. We've corrected an error in the Additional Buttons section of this review. The result of the Total Number of Buttons test has been changed from 6 to 7, as the previous result failed to account for a physical button on the mouse's underside. This mouse allows you to use it with up to three different computers. Just use the Easy-Switch™ button to change the channel. Select the channel you want and go to the next step.
