More notable omissions: While the PS3 and Xbox One were in the database, Sony PS4 and Xbox Series X or Series S were also absent. Compared to the URC remote, setup for my system was a breeze, and the remote works perfectly. While the One thing not mentioned in your review: there is no Help button right on the face of the remote like there was on Harmony remotes. But there is a “Fix” function within the “Set” menu. But when I tried to use it, it was not at all intuitive! I made sure I updated the SofaBaton right away, before trying to do anything else. The iOS software is decent - not great, but decent. When updating the remote I got a popup stating something along the lines of "do not reconnect to the remote for 5 minutes or you could corrupt things." That was a bit disconcerting, but otherwise things went fine.

The Activitie list on IOS APP is not automatically synchronized to display on the same device; Note that when I had difficulties, I also tried it on my primary home theater system—a Roku TV with an Onkyo AV Receiver. Again, there were issues with switching inputs on the Roku TV. Worse still, the AV receiver model was not in the database. I tried to use the original remote to teach the hub the commands, but I quit when it didn't learn the power command. Update: My original review was April, 2022. So here I am, a year later to update my review and give my last major update on my experience with the Sofabaton X1 and Hub. Scroll all the way to the bottom to skip past my review/one month update for my one year update. are not available so I took a shot with the Sofabaton. I have a semi complex home theater(85" TV, 11The design of the Sofabaton X1 remote is relatively simple. On top of the remote is an off and return button. The return button allows you to toggle between Activities, Devices, and Set (should be Setup). Many people have complained that the Return button is too high, and you need to shift your grip to access it. I don’t mind it because I rarely need to access my devices, so I like not being able to press it accidentally. You and I have wildly different experiences. I have my Sofabaton on a Bell Fibe Homehub 3000 which does 2.5 and 5 ghz on the same SSID and I have not had a single issue with my device yet. Nor have I had to reboot it aside from firmware updates. Another limitation I disliked is that the SofaBaton X1 has very limited support of IP-controlled devices. My Sony television is IP-controlled and can do IR if needed. The X1 will not control that TV via IP, and the documentation shows IP support for just a few devices. As mentioned last month,our X1 remote V9 and Hub V13 are ready to use now.By the way,for WiFi version,due to the firmware database did not include WiFi version before,that's why you only can see the version keeps as 0.0.0,but it will not effect your using no matter which WiFi version is,thanks for your attention.We will focus on the WiFi upgrading next time to be 2.0.8,thank you for your understanding.The image I showed you is the one for our test ,but the version did not finally release,thanks for your patience.

After what seemed like an eternity, I finally was able to get my hands on my new Sofabaton X1, set it up and give it a real test to see how it fared against my beloved Harmony Ultimate. Will it be the new “must-have” remote? Let’s discuss! What’s In The Box? Build quality feels good, though I could see a need for more than 2 IR ports for more complex setups, it a different model/brand I��ve used in the past. All of the buttons light up, making it easier to use in The screen is a non-touch, 2″ color OLED. What does this mean for you? A clear and bright screen that won’t consume a ton of battery power, so you should be able to go a long time between charges. There are no options for brightness (yet), so it’s a one-size-fits-all solution.
