Obviously if I start earlier at the weekend, I might fit a few more beers in but still fall asleep maybe even earlier than this. Early in the book Jason confesses that his text contains its fair share of brain-washing, or rather repeated, mantra-like messages which serve to break down common perceptions about alcohol. However, he doesn't advocate 'cutting down' his intention is really to help people quit as he believes if you drink any amount of alcohol you are not in control of it.

Still, it's a little strange to read something that almost feels like something you read before that is just paraphrased from something else. If quitting drinking is akin to to 'leaving prison' and if you've left, 'it's instant freedom and no convict would ever desire to go back to prison one last time so as to enjoy their freedom,' as the author asserts, what's the rationale behind having a last drink? Jason is the author of numerous bestselling books which together have sold over half a million copies in the UK alone.

This book is much more than a simple eye opener, it will: change the way you see alcohol forever; show you how to stop drinking; and, help you enjoy the process and enjoy your life so much more than you do now without having to drink alcohol. This book is really a ten-page pamphlet, repeated 30 times with enthusiasm — and I mean that in the best way. I think Jason’s way of communicating about alcohol and the insidious trap which it places on large sections of our society.I bought this book 6 months ago and got most of the way through it - did about 10 days off the booze and then succumbed to temptation.
