The ending was so cute and settled the basis of the war to come between gods, monsters, demigods, and mortals. And I’m ready for that. He's so good, and I can't wait to read the next book from his perspective. I'm enjoying it so much more.

This was fixed in the second novel, and we got to see a lot more of Hades on his own (or behind the scenes if you will). That was honestly a blast, and makes this book better than A Touch of Ruin too. A Game of Retribution, the second book of the Hades Saga, follows the story of Hades, God of the Dead, and Persephone, Goddess of Spring, the woman he loved, as they defied the odds to find a future together, one that had been predetermined by the Fates yet remained uncertain. I loved Persephone's independent spirit as she built her magic and tried to find her place as Queen of the Underworld. By offering a voice to those in need at the same time she was experiencing her own tragic loss, she also embodied empowerment and justice.

A Game of Fate is basically A Touch of Darkness from Hades's POV. And like so many readers I liked it better. This book had more magic, more Hades interracting with other gods and we got to see how exactly he rules Underworld. We also got deep into his soul. We already knew that in St Clair's universe, Hades isn't the brutal, heartless god we've seen in other adaptations. He's actually come a long way since antiquity, cares about the souls and wishes to help those who want to be helped. Not to mention how much he hates predators and is super cute with his animals. Best Hades depiction ever! A Touch of Darkness شروع می شه. و سه جلد رو با همین داستان از زاویه دید هیدس که با همین کتاب (A Game of Fate) شروع می شه. کلیت هردو داستان یکیه ولی خب چون راوی ها متفاوتن، ریزه کاری ها و جزئیات متفاوتی هم دارن. کتابای هیدس جنبه اساطیری بیشتری دارن و حضور الهه ها و خدایان دیگر توی این کتابا نسبت به کتابای پرسفونه پررنگ تره.
