Seriously, you could add on as much as you wanted to this set to reenact the scene from the film to the fullest extent. If you've seen the Pirates of the Caribbean films, you'll remember this iconic scene in which Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Norrington fight a three-way sword duel on an old mill. The possibilities are endless, which makes this set superior to, say, a spaceship or the like where your choices are limited. On the reverse side, you can see a ladder leading up just inside the doorway, a barrel with a fish (I wonder how long that's been in the abandoned tower), and a bottle of rum.

You get two copies of the key, and they are attached to a sprue like the Atlantis flippers or the gold coins are. you get jack sparrow, admiral norrington in beat up clothing, and hadras - the crewman from the flying dutchman whose head gets knocked off and turns into a hermit crab (which is unique currently onto to this set). This set traveled to Vegas for a Christmas gift and I received a wonderful note thanking me for the gift. The booklets, poster and sticker sheet were baggied up with a piece of cardboard to protect them from being crumpled. Having numbered bags seems just a little nonsensical for a set this size, especially since some of the builds combine more than one bag. Overall, this is an outstanding set with very interesting minifigures and many amusing play features.

The set contains lots of the same parts to build the wheel,and I guess the Mill parts perhaps aren't too exciting to all you Castle enthusiasts who have already built lots of grey towers, but this set does have some nice bonus stuff like the bottle and the heart of Davy Jones, as well as the key to the chest. I certainly had a lot of fun posing the figures and recreating the fight scene from the film whilst taking the pictures for the review. From this angle, you can see an impressive doorway, a tall tower, and the spot where bag four's build will go.Stay on your feet and clench control of that key before Hadras flees back to the Flying Dutchman with it! This set has a lot of great parts which feature in almost all of the other sets as well, like the bucket, the bottle and the compass. Yes it does look on the small side but after looking at the reviews between this and London Escape, I think I made the correct decision to go with this set. First, there are a few of those 1x4 round plates in gold (a new piece if I'm not mistaken), as well as a neat 1x2 tile in dark brown.

This Jack looks okay, though not super, and Norrington looks great - and I really like Hadras, the refugee from the Atlantis sets. Even if you haven't seen Dead Man's Chest, the second installment in the PotC series, you've probably heard of the epic scene on which this set is based off of.

I'm more convinced about the details: they're good enough for a set like this, but I still think the building looks too patchy. This effectively creates a pulley system between the bell and the other end of the string, just like in the movie. Finally, TLG was kind enough to include a fourth figure, one with far less significance in the film but still a nice addition. Other than the QAR I was trying to decide between this set and London Escape as to which one I should get; ended up choosing The Mill over London Escape because it was a bit cheaper and something about it with the wheel made it more appealing over the latter.For my second and final Pirates of the Caribbean review, I'll be taking a closer look at 4183: The Mill. my son got three different ones for xmas, (he's just six years old) and he had them put together in two days and was playing away! The box quite obviously depicts this scene, with a soft jungle picture serving as the background for the more intense action in the foreground. Here, at this stage of the film he is a desperate pirate, but still showing off some very stylish (albeit slightly ragged) threads.
