Four AA batteries, not supplied, are needed to power the circuits so we made sure we had a fresh pack before starting.According to our reviewer, the Hot Wires electronic kit offers just that, plus plenty of opportunities to do a bit of hands-on teaching. The experiments are very good and the children love my teenager creating and showing of electronics.

The favourite experiment the kids have completed so far is experiment 3 where they power a spinning disc causing it to fly up in the air. He didn't understand the workings behind it so trying to explain electronics and circuits to a 6 yr old was fun! It is sturdy, spares are available and it is likely to last for generations of children (and their adults) despite the move to electronics being more 'micro' orientated now.Each card even includes interesting facts as well the chemical symbol but is bright, colourful and fun.
