And there’s no choice, because QHD isn’t even an option, unlike on other 17-inch laptops of this generation, such as the AMD-based ROG Strix G17 or even the ROG Scar 17 that we have previously reviewed. Lifting the lid is a one-finger task, which is pretty much a given with all 17” models, due to their base weight. Overall, the vents take up a fair bit of the laptop’s body, with one on the bottom, one on either side, and one on the back. I’m sure it’s to be consistent with the other Legion models, but it would have been nicer to utilize that extra space and beef it up to 99Whr. Thanks to the high TGP, the results in the synthetic benchmarks are excellent and sometimes even ahead of laptops with slower versions of the RTX 3070.I really really want a white Legion 5 Pro but I'm gonna wait on some reviews and benchmarks before making my decision, really hoping it doesn't disappoint cus then I'll be back to watching comparisons and endlessly comparing options for the best value. It joins the increasingly common lineup of 16-inch gaming laptops like the HP Omen 16, Asus ROG Zephyrus M16, Dell G16, or the Gigabyte Aero 16 all of which are alternatives to the Lenovo model in review. The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro Gen 6 is an incredible machine that, excluding a few design choices, hits all the right notes: Decent battery life, snappy keys, high-end performance, vibrant display, and so many connectivity ports.
