I'm happy with the purchase but frankly I do not know which brand would I decide to get if test fileds were ofered at zeiss dealership. And since the Ultravid mentioned has equal or better eye relief than the Zeiss mentioned (though not so great as the Swarovski), I'm wondering if perhaps the eyecups were not fully, or equally, turned all the way up (or down if you wear glasses). For example, a 10x binocular will make an object appear 10-times closer than it would normally appear. I flip and flop in my sensitivity to color fringing, but hate eye relief problems, and would take that comment seriously. Multiple layers of coatings are even more effective; the term "multi-coated" means one or more air-to-glass lens surface has multiple coatings.

If only Zeiss would see fit to add an astigmatism correcting and field flattening group to the eyepiece I would have no complaint. BAK-4 binoculars are more chromatic aberrant than ED glass, which is why they're a bit more expensive.
