A sense of community is certainly part of the story but when you have too many side plots due to too many characters, it's usually best to scale back a bit.

Publishers lose track of their long-standing authors, and librarians and teachers are overwhelmed by newer books, and the resurgence of “classics” from earlier eras. I read it together with two of my friends, Amanda and Monika, a even though not either of us ended up liking it, we still enjoyed our conversations a jokes, so for that reason, I am very glad we read it. The mosaic’s interlinked short stories mirror the many interconnected facets that make up global climate change.

Not only does this story show the reality of humanity, it shows the ripple effect that each person can have on each other. The audiobook was narrated by Anna Cordell Who did a wonderful job with all the accents and this large cast of characters.

The book also suffers from the same problem as a lot of others on the market at the moment -- it’s about 100 pages too long. It has such an intriguing premise, wonderful characters and is utterly truthful about the lies that we all tell. She’s finally gone out on her own to open Monica’s Café, but she’s struggling to keep the doors open and the money flowing.
