The gang has returned and this time there’s a wedding to celebrate, except that is the furthest thing on Molly Meyers’ mind. After losing Luke (her fiance) two years ago, there is nothing she wants to do less than help Jane Bradley (her best friend) plan her wedding and celebrate the obnoxious, annoyingly lovey-dovey relationship that Jane has with Brady Matthews.What I loved most about this novel, though, was that Silas never talked down to Ollie due to her age. They ribbed each other about their ages, yes, but there was never any condescension. He was respectful and caring and added some unique spice to the romantic scenes. I’d never read about a Jacob’s Ladder before (and no, it’s nothing like the movie!) and loved that Ollie and her friend guessed that Silas had something similar just by looking at him! Question marks were of course levied at Keane after he successfully kept us in the Premier League. That campaign again was awash with that never say die attitude, with the last-minute winner against Tottenham on the opening day setting the tone, but he struggled to take us to the next level. There is a specific definition for the term, “human resources management,” which is not only found in almost all textbooks but also in the human resources strategies of many companies. Millions of students have learned this definition by heart. Today it is the core understanding of the majority of staff working in HR departments. “The purpose of human resources management is to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time in the organization.” Meghan Quinn’s writing is just so fun and hilarious. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes several times. This book was true romantic comedy gold. I loved the way she set up the story and the big personalities she gave the characters. But a warning to her Montlake published readers: Quinn’s indies are steamier and that is very true of this one.
