The idea here is to let gamers set up the mouse for either their left or right hand – which, as a lefty myself, is very welcome indeed. You may even choose to go all-out, and have four side buttons – although, personally, I think that’s overkill, even if you’re an avid MOBA or ARPG player.

In terms of physical design quality, both the Logitech G502 Lightspeed and the G903 Lightspeed are top-notch. Both mice are built to last with sturdy frames and materials, and both come with 11 buttons that you can customize as in-game macros.Your mouse uses a USB gaming receiver to relay wireless signals from the mouse to your computer. To optimize the wireless connection, plug one end of the cable into your computer and the other end into the USB adapter and receiver. You can also plug the receiver directly into your computer. RFIC: Radio frequency integrated circuit transmits MCU data robustly and reliably via fine-tuned electrical pathways. The Logitech G903 might be a wireless gaming mouse, but it feels as seamless as a wired one. That’s no small feat, and that’s all thanks to the same Lightspeed Wireless technology that was also in the G900. We never experienced any latency or loss if signal despite using the peripheral in an office saturated with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and every other type of wireless signal. Logitech’s Lightspeed Wireless technology was ahead of the curve last year, and it still feels like it’s on the cutting edge today. Now with the ability to always wirelessly charge your peripheral, there’s almost no reason not to ditch the cord.

Starting with the basics, the G903 comes with up to 11 keys, depending on how you set it up. Out of the box, there are two extras on its left side and an option to add two more to the right using a magnetically attached plastic plug. At the end of the day, I think that the Logitech G502 Lightspeed will be the better choice for most people looking for a high-end wireless gaming mouse. It's true that you have to pay more for it, but the increased optical sensor accuracy, higher DPI range, and more extensive weight-tuning options will very much come in handy if you're looking to take your gaming experience to the next level. The bigger battery life is great, too, as you won't need to worry about charging it very much.Outside of this, the only difference between it and some of Logitech’s cheaper offerings is that the G903 has local memory that lets you save up to five different profiles on the mouse. You can toggle through the various presets manually using a button on the bottom of the mouse. The end result is one of the best mice I’ve tested in performance terms for competitive gaming in quite some time. Up top you’ll find basic buttons to adjust the G903’s DPI, and switch between a smooth or step action on its wheel, plus the usual left and right controls. Like pretty much every G-series peripheral, the G903 can be customised using Logitech‘s Gaming Software. Once installed, you can adjust the G903’s RGB lighting, sync it across all your other Logitech peripherals, and alter its DPI sensitivity.
