So, whilst you will notice your energy costs rise when running your new Lay Z Spa, it will be more cost-effective than other popular inflatables! Whilst the larger 1190L Santorini hot tubmay take an extra 30 hours to heat, resulting in this equation: A simple but very effective way to save money when filling up your hot tub is to use water from the hot tap. Just make sure you start with an inch or two of cold at the bottom first and ensure the water from the hot tap is no hotter than 40°C. It is far more energy-efficient to start your hot tub up with warm water rather than filling the hot tub with cold water and waiting for the pump's heater to do all the work.

The importance of a floor protector for your Lay-Z Spa depends on the surface you’re placing it onto. If you’re placing it into very smooth concrete or artificial grass, then a floor protector may not be strictly necessary to prevent punctures.
