That will be remedied next year in my plan to catch up on books that I have fallen behind on. I can’t work out if is a series but at least one of the characters appeared in the earlier book. Stephanie is scared for her life,her psychologist Connie Summers,wants to help her face her fears but Stephanie has secrets,one of them being her real name.But then Doctor Summers isn't Connie`s real name either. There are so many secrets that are slowly revealed with this book that at times it is hard to keep up with who knows what. Everything is wrapped up nicely by the end of the book which is good because I was already invested in the sisters and their stories. Flipping between multiple narratives and between past and present really adds to the story! This book was fast paced after the first few chapters and kept my attention. The sisters are characters that are easy to connect to and the plot- whew, hold your breath because it will be a bumpy, sometimes dark ride to get to the ending! Assaad Bouab as Gabriel, Eva and John Paul's co-worker. He develops a friendship with Eva, which she mistakes as romantic interest. He reveals to her that he is gay, although not out at work.

The story was so intense and cleverly written, my head was in a spin trying to figure out what was going on and trying to piece it all together. There was a lot of moments where I was sitting on the edge of my seat in eager anticipation as to what would happen next that's for sure. Brian Gleeson as Thomas ("Tom") Claffin, insurance agent at Claffin & Sons, which holds John Paul's life insurance policy. Thomas has recently taken over the family business, which his father mismanaged before dying by suicide. Knowing that settling the claim will bankrupt the business, he is determined to avoid a payout by proving the Garvey sisters guilty of foul play. Read this book a few years ago after finding it in a book store and being attracted to the cover. A thirlling read, with lots of twists, vivid descriptions and wonderful characters! Even though the story started off quite slow, it was still intriguing as I found myself needing to know why and how Connie's story connected to Stephanie's. It was revealed as a slow unravel throughout the book which was great as it definitely added to the suspense of the story. With every chapter that I read, the plot got more and more compelling and gripping. I found myself constantly guessing and read the second half of the book in one seating because I just couldn't put it down. Just as perfectly portrayed is the other sisters’ appreciation of what is happening and their powerlessness to do anything about it. Until they have a whiskey-soaked chat on the beach, after their traditional Christmas family swim (which John Paul has finally succeeded in keeping Grace from attending). They share their secret fantasies about how to get rid of him, before they burgeon into workable theory and then practice. The second episode (two have been released initially by Apple – the rest will follow weekly) covers the first, failed execution of the tyrant in the sisters’ midst. Various other attempts go awry too but we must assume, from the corpse and the sisters’ shifty behaviour since, that one of them worked in the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it - it's highly addictive to read and will keep you guessing right the way from the incredible prologue all the way through to the explosive epilogue. I thoroughly enjoyed Bad Sisters and would recommend it to anyone who likes ‘seduction, intrigue, rivalry – and murder.’ I have Divas (also by Rebecca Chance) on my bookshelf and can’t wait to read that now!

The Bad Sister: A tense and emotional psychological thriller

Bad Sister looks just like the type of book I enjoy. It literally looks like a psychological thriller.I should also note that the audio performance was absolutely top-notch. I have a few audio performers that, frankly, nudge me toward purchasing an audiobook even when the blurb might only have me mostly sold, and I shall add Lisa Milne Henderson to that short list alongside Jane Entwhistle and Jason Frazier. It's likely no surprise - as an actress, Henderson doesn't just read this book so much as perform it - but more than that, the voices and accents and characters came across brilliantly distinct. Obviously the writing has to be there for the foundation, but in Henderson's tones, the characters burst completely into life. That Lisa Milne Henderson is Rebecca Chance's sister just adds to the joy of it (and, frankly, I can just imagine some of the fun and not-just-a-little-bit-awkward conversations between the two when it was time to go over the scorching sex scenes.) I absolutely love this author, as I always know that when a read one of Rebecca's books, I know that I'm in for a treat. Pure indulgence on so many levels, it's got everything.
