Other than the Orient Multi Year Calendar released in 1976, the 70s and 80s were rather unremarkable for the brand. It wasn’t until 1991 that Orient produced another innovative design: The Orient Mon Bijou.

On the other hand, the second-generation Orient Bambino watches, including the “Small Seconds” version, feature an F6722 movement, an evolution of the 48743 with 22 jewels and 42 hours of power reserve. What makes this model unique is its integration of the Orient Calibre F6T22. Expect to see this movement in an open-heart watch type. Instead of numbers, you can see thin, clean lines around the dialwith thin indexes displaying the hour markers. Orient tends to calibrate all the mechanisms of their watches quite well at the factory, so they initially offer a high level of precision. However, like all automatic watches, it can vary depending on the daily use of the watch.Uniquely, Version II also comes in a worn-in off-white color, which seems like a hat-tip to its old-world style. Currently, there are two main generations of Orient Bambino, each of which has different versions that usually vary in color and strap, but also differ in other details. There are two generations, but several “spin-offs,” including an open heart version and a small seconds version. How Water-Resistant Is the Orient Bambino? Compared to the first version, this version seems MORE CLUTTERED with its dial. Despite this, it still showcases a clean look that many sophisticated & luxurious-looking dress watches present to its users. One of the most appealing parts of the Bambino 36mm is its price. A lot of guys won’t spend a lot of money on a dress watch because they aren’t able to wear them often. Often, if the reference number ends in A, for example, RA-AC0010S10A, it will likely be running on the Orient Caliber F6724, the same as the regular-sized version Vs do.

In 2001, Seiko Epson became the majority shareholder of Orient Watch, effectively putting Orient under the Seiko Group’s control. In 2009, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Epson. Just imagine…wearing this watch with a t-shirt and shorts while sipping on coffee and eating avocado toast in an outdoor cafe would definitely get heads turning! Apart from this watch’s brilliant elegance appeal, if the original colors don’t sit well with you then… The V is just ornate enough that the open heart doesn’t look out of place on its design, but also minimal enough that it isn’t overly busy either. The second-generation Bambinos come in five different versions. Versions I, II, III, and IV run on Orient Caliber F6722, which is an upgraded 48743 of sorts. Again, versions refer to the different dial styles. Let’s take a look at all of the ones available. Version I You have the control to recharge the watch for power reserve. Also, you can manipulate the date and hands in a manual setup.With all the outstanding features in each Orient Bambino watch, you might expect that these models would be expensive in the first place. Unfortunately, the Orient Bambino 36mm doesn’t offer the same possibilities. While the market might not really support smaller watches right now, it would be nice to see the Bambino 36mm offered in a few more colors. At first glance, you can tell that Orient Bambino watches are BIGGER than your typical dress watch. Except for version 4, any Orient Bambino model has similar casing dimensions.

The most notable feature is that the Orient F6722 includes new functions such as the ability to stop the second hand and manually wind the watch. ✚ Versions in the 2nd Generation Bambino

The Bambino 36mm is a unisex watch at its heart, but its dressy styling makes it hard to deny as formal wrist candy. It’s also hard to overlook its affordability. Guys looking to add a dress watch to their watch roll won’t be disappointed in the Bambino 36mm. F6724 family of calibers . Unlike the previous caliber, the 48743, these new movements come with a stop-seconds mechanism and a manual winding option. If you're interested in a Bambino, second-generation models are the way to go. Versions 2 and 5: Bambino Watches with Numerals All the versions mentioned above feature a domed mineral crystal and are water-resistant up to approximately 30 meters. They also come in similar cases that are not luxurious but still complement their contents.
