Silent Pool’s 43% ABV Coronation Gin also uses dried plum and raspberry leaves to infuse the gin, leaving lingering fruity notes. Finally, Earl Grey tea and tangy hawthorn berries deepen the palette. The liquid is un-peated, floral, complex and created using the original Victorian machinery, paying homage to both past and present by bringing together traditional distilling methods ‘into a world of present significance’. A blend of more than 53 rare malt and grain whiskies, the Royal Salute Coronation of King Charles III Edition is a rich and complex expression with notes of fresh redcurrants, dark chocolate praline, and freshly roasted chestnuts, and a palate of sweet figs and fresh ginger leading up to a long and rich finish with a playful spice. The team at the artisan spirit producer in Stratford-upon-Avon has crafted a completely new dry gin that has taken inspiration from the gin and dubonnet beloved by the late Queen and Queen Mother. To celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, luxury Swedish vodka brand Absolut Elyx has partnered with the Nomad hotel in London to create a limited edition copper crown cup. The 40% ABV gin takes inspiration from a summer garden, and the Stratford-Upon-Avon-based distiller has combined hibiscus, lemon verbena and thyme with the more traditional gin botanicals of juniper, coriander seed, orris root and lemon peel.

Releasing an exclusive Coronation Gin ‘fit for a royal’, the limited edition blue and purple bottle is said to be the perfect tipple for enjoying at a street party. It is said King Charles likes a Martini every night before dinner, however his exact preference for how it is served is unknown. In 2018, Hepple welcomed King Charles III to its estate in Northumbria where he planted his own juniper tree. In keeping with Royal Salute’s signature style, the decanter is presented in a wooden box inspired by the iconic Westminster Abbey, with details intricately chiselled into the wood, paying tribute to the historic setting of British Coronation ceremonies since 1066. Now, to mark his coronation, The English has unveiled the latest bottling in its Royal range. The Royal range is bottled only on the birth, marriage, coronation or jubilee of those in direct line to the throne. These are rare events that the distillery believes should be celebrated, making the resulting collection of whiskies well worth owning and drinking.

The beer is said to have light caramel notes and a deep golden hue with east Kent Goldings hops adding a spiciness to the citrus and fruit aromas, rounded out with subtle bitterness from a generous hopping of Kentish Challenger.
