Emma: A nice light green Shade with a hint of yellow, Kroak Green looks great over light greens, whites, yellows, and even cream colours. I loved using it on some Tree-Revenant’s spirit skin where I wanted more of a green hue over the pale teal, just to tie it into the forest tones used elsewhere. Try it over all manner of other greeny things – it’s also especially good for Nurgle miniatures.

GW's new range matches with the old range are the matches claimed by GW. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. If you are trying to match old GW with new GW, you'd be better just getting Vallejo game color or coat d'arms for the closest match ) Emma: Speaking of Nurgle, Poxwalker is a Shade perfect for everything gross and green. It’s has grey tones, making it perfect for dying or dead flesh – such as Deadwalker Zombies . I also used this for the skin of Orks and Kruleboyz , as it gives a great worn green shade to their skin. The T’au Empire is a technologically advanced extraterrestrial species that places a premium on efficiency and accuracy in both their military and their civilization. The Ionrach Skin paint would complement T’au models by emphasizing their sophisticated technology and future design.For the teats on the Fiends, I'd say: Daemonette Hide, shaded with Druichii Violet, then highlighted with Slaanesh Grey. Okay, the second test model came out the best. Save the base it's done. (I could do more but I want to paint a whole army at the end of the day.) Soulblight Grey is perfect for adding a more subtle depth to your miniatures. If you’re a fan of Drakenhof Nightshade but need something a little lighter, this Shade is for you. You may have to modify this, play with it a bit, maybe make a mix of Drakenhof Nightshade, Carrowburg Crimson, and Lahmian Medium to shade with instead for a more ruddy, less vibrant shade, or even a mix of Guilliman Blue, Bloodletter Red, and Lahmian Medium. It may also help to mix 1:1 Ionrach Skin:Slaanesh Grey as the base color. You may also want to look at Rakarth Flesh in the mix or some such.

Emma: Spooky but soft at the same time, Soulblight Grey shades with a light grey tone, perfect for the ghoulish skin and dirty bones of Grand Alliance Death models. I like using it over Screaming Skull for that weathered Deathrattle Skeleton bone, then drybrushing up from there. To startt off, I primed with Wraithbone , just to get the armour as close to its eventual colour as possible. Pale Armour Go over the withe with Iyanden Yellow , pulling pigment towards the edge. Dont worry if a little goes on the armour around the outside, this will hopesully look like glow. Emma: This is a fantastic shade for making things look grimy, but not too dark or green – perfect for the Death Guard . It also looks great over silver metals and light bone colours, and works a treat for the worn gear of Orks and Chaos alike. Iron Hands Steel with a coat of Tyran Blue and a Stormhost Silver highlight gives you lovely magical steel, for instance. It’s the start of a new month, which can only mean one thing – it’s time to announce the miniature and coin of the month for March. Mix some White Scar into the Iyanden Yellow from earlier and apply a fine edge highlight along the cutting edge. All of the new Shade paints are excellent, and the reformulation of the existing range makes adding natural-looking depth and shadow easier than ever before. Ionrach Skin, shaded with Drakenhof Nightshade, cleaned up with Ionrach Skin, layered with Deepkin Flesh, layered with 1:1 Deepkin Flesh:Pallid Wych Flesh, and highlighted with Pallid Wych Flesh Genestealer Purple– This dark, muted purple color is a good choice for shading and highlighting models painted with Ionrach Skin. It could be used to create contrast and depth on the models, helping to make them look more three-dimensional and realistic.
