For newborns, I would highly recommend using the Quinny Tukk Foldable Carrier to transform the Moodd into a safe, warm and comfy pram that allows the baby to lie totally flat. The Quinny Moodd is a really strong, robust pram. You get a lot of pram for the money and features like the automatic unfold are really unusual and clever. It’s very easy to get up, down, change the seat round and put in recline. We were really impressed with the design, look and feel and how easy to use it was. Serial shoppers won't be overly impressed with the shopping basket on the Moodd. It's quite small and shallow with a maximum capacity of 5kg. As it's only accessible from the sides, because of the design of the frame, you won't be able to just reach down from the steering position. There is a change to the 2015 Moodd with the basket now being colour coded to match the hue of your pushchair. Updating their Moodd, Quinny have brought it up to date by making some subtle changes and, even things like smaller branding on the fabrics and frames and co-ordinating colours making for a sleeker look. The new colours are sophisticated and suitable for a baby of either sex. What is nice about this Quinny stroller is that the pushbar is adjustable. The handle extends from 37” to 41” above the ground to accommodate the tallest and shortest of moms and dads. It’s also easy to remove the harness pads, as well as the entire seat unit in 1 piece so that the stroller frame can be wiped clean. The Quinny Moodd is majestic stroller featuring a distinctive design. The chassis of the Moodd is similar to the inferior Buzz - three-wheeled and quite wide. It automatically unfolds itself thanks to the hydraulic mechanism. The front double wheel is easily maneuverable and can also be replaced with an optional axle with two single wheels, creating a Quinny Moodd 4 variation. Rear wheels are large and foam-filled. All round suspension on the Moodd creates a smooth ride for you and your baby and the front swivel wheel makes the pram super manoeuvrable even on the busiest streets. The handle bar is adjustable for the tallest or shortest of parents and the basket is large enough to carry any essentials. The internal liner is very soft, though you can still feel the side supports at the top and bottom through it. All of the fabrics can be removed for hand washing. The inside of the carrycot measures 74cm long and 29cm wide, so it should last until the child is around 6 months old. The footrest can be adjusted up and down. However, it only extends up to only 8” from the seat, which is relatively short and may not work for kids older than 2 even though the weight capacity can accommodate bigger toddlers. I’d like to have it telescope further down so that older or long-legged kids will have a more comfortable ride, without having to ride with their knees propped up or legs dangling. From birth the Quinny Moodd is compatible with the compact carrycot, which will keep your little one safe and comfortable till around 6 months old. On the frame of the Moodd, the carrycot sits quite high which we love and memory buttons make it super easy when you’re taking the carrycot off the pram.

Accessories

The brake application on the Moodd couldn't be much easier, the right pedal puts it on and is coloured red, the left pedal takes it off and is coloured grey. Definitely flip-flop friendly, though you do need to press quite firmly. If you are discounting this pushchair because it only has three wheels and you are a four-wheeler sort of gal, then don't despair as the Moodd will change to suit yours. The front wheel unit listed in the accessories is the alternative two-wheel front fork, instead of the single wheel that comes supplied as standard. Conclusion To fold the frame, apply the brake, then move the safety catch on the right shaft of the handle to allow the release button to slide upwards. At the same time, slide the button on the left and push down on the handle. An automatic clip holds the frame shut. For reassurance that your fame will remain shut when you put it in the boot of your car, a strap from the rear axle can be attached to the handle. When you’ve finished with the carrycot or even for putting it in the car, a clever mechanism on the base will make the carrycot flat which makes this a great option for smaller spaces too!
