DUEX Max features a 14.1” full HD IPS display with an 85% screen-to-body ratio, perfect for 14” and larger laptops. DUEX Plus features a 13.3” full HD 1080P display that’s perfect for 13-14” laptops. Lightweight and with an ultra-slim profile, users can easily carry the DUEX and their device around without it weighing them down. The Duet hardware and RepRapFirmware are built with Open tools: designed in KiCad and Eclipse using open tools means the barrier to getting involved is as low as possible.The DueX2 and DueX5 expansion boards add 2 and 5 extra channels respectively. There are 2 more channels available on the CONN_LCD header, giving a total of 12 stepper channels. Note: (There is an error on v1.0 and v1.01 on the silkscreen where the E0-/E1- and VIN are reversed - use the diagram above rather than the silkscreen. This is fixed in v1.02 boards) Both the Duet Web Control web interface and RepRapFirmware are Open Source Software with source files available and actively maintained, see Contributing to development for more information. To fit the cable, you will need to file down or cut off the protruding key on the cable end. ¶ Power ¶ Power distribution The Duet 2 WiFi and Ethernet provides connectors for one endstop for each axis; these can be simple microswitches (normally open or normally closed) or they can be more complicated boards (for example optical switches) so long as they run off 3.3 V and can provide a digital (on/off) output. Additional endstop pins are available on the expansion connector. Any of these endstop pins can also be configured to trigger user-defined actions, for example as a filament-out sensor or emergency-stop button.

More importantly, the frame weighs just about 1.5 pounds and gives you an extended display that is almost 12.5-inches wide and will fit most modern laptops (13-inch to 17.5-inch). Important! The higher the motor currents you set, the more important it is to cool the board. Always use a cooling fan if you run a Duet 2 WiFi or Duet 2 Ethernet above 2.0A motor current. ¶ 3D models

The choice to exclude an HDMI port is fine because the DUEX Max may then use a single cable for both power and data. Mobile Pixels does consider that you may be limited to USB-A 3.0 plugs on your notebook, which makes the DUEX Max truly plug and play. While the display itself doesn't push the boundaries, the inclusion of the G-Sensor is a nice, useful touch. On top of that, being able to use it in portrait mode could also be useful in stationary desktop environments. Being a portable screen, you may use it with mobile devices capable of piping out video, like the Nintendo Switch. However, in that case, you will also have to find a separate power source for the second port. If you power up the Duet before you power up the DueX, the stepper drivers on the DueX won't get initialised. Ideally power them up at the same time, or the DueX first. It’s worth noting that the Lepow Lite H1 is a little larger than the Duex, and it provides slightly better contrast, punch, and color accuracy, but it still suffers from poor brightness and mediocre performance when compared to most laptop and desktop displays.
