After many hints throughout the one-shot, Fujino fully admits near the end that she actually dislikes drawing manga. The inciting incident that led to her focusing much of her childhood on her art was her anger that Kyomoto upstaged her in the school paper after enjoying success as their school's best artist. Fujimoto's art is stunning, especially during the quiet scenes where the characters simply exist as themselves. Some of the best examples of this are from when Fujino and Kyomoto are drawing together. This kind of silent companionship can be a difficult thing to convey but, in not relying too heavily on speech, Fujimoto's art speaks loud and clearly. The reader finds themselves also simply existing alongside the characters in these moments.First of all, many already love him, so most don't talk about it, but Fujimoto's style is pretty scribbly. I love it because of that, but I can see it totally affecting his own self-esteem as an artist when he was young. And so he writes Fujino, the main character of the story. While her friends love her manga because it's clever and fun, she gets discouraged when another Friendly Rivalry: Fujino and Kyomoto have elements of it, with both being deeply inspired by the other to improve their art. It's tragically used as the reason Fujino blames herself for Kyomoto's death, feeling like her friendship pushed her to go to art school. I was a little bit confused in the middle of the end, and when I continued reading it (gently scrolling) to the point where I understand what Fujimoto Sensei is trying to tell the readers That moment I realized and talking to myself why tf did I choose a public coffee shop to read such an emotional manga,and I'm trying so hard to hold my tears not to fall in front of people and I did it,good on me.

Fujimoto really went out on this one (well it is a one-shot after all). I feel like I don't even need to explain. The shades fits so well with the aesthetic and I absolutely love it. 10/10 without a doubt.

Love sure is blind and when Fujimoto writes something with that concept it goes beyond blind. This is the second one-shot of Fujimoto’s one-shot in “Jump plus”, following his pre-debut award-winning work Sasaki-Kun stopped the bullet. Unlike the dystopian setting of Fire Punch, this work is a high school student’s school romance with a faint romance in it. art: well fujimoto already worked on chainsa wman and fire punch and his art is still great, it's still one of my favorite drawing styles.Like I said, it's simple yet amazing. The way this one-shot showed the main character's thoughts on her friend's death was incredibly realistic. Puting blame on herself, imagining a whole new path where her friend didn't die, overcome with grief. All of that was so well showed and I felt sadness after seeing the MC's imagination.
