I do think players with higher swing speeds could find themselves preferring something else when it comes to feel. What better time than now to take a look at the newest ball from the Kirkland Signature Performance series as it comes on the heels of a new driver and new iron set released by Costco’s golf division in mid-December?

The new Kirkland Signature 3 Piece Performance Plus golf balls have been designed to reflect outstanding performance. With all of the testing, I did between the Kirkland golf balls and the Titleist golf balls on the course, this greenside spin makes Kirkland golf balls just a little less valuable than the premium Titleist Pro V1.However, for beginners and mid-level golfers that don’t want to invest in the Titleist Pro V1 but still want a good golf ball, the Kirkland Signature is a really strong option. Again, without a robot, it’s difficult to confirm or deny the latter claim, but my personal experience with the Kirkland ball was that it felt like most balls I’ve putted with, and it seemed to roll pretty true. I might still pick up a box from time to time in a pinch for the value, but I think for the most part I will personally be sticking with Vice. My longest drive - I hit about 20 drives with each ball - was 266 yards with the Kirkland ball, 271 yards with the Pro V1.

If you’re looking for a budget urethane golf ball and prioritize short game performance, the Kirkland Signature is well worth testing for yourself. I play a wide range of balls (though I play K Sigs the most) and don’t notice giant differences between them. On the second hole, I had another opportunity to test out greenside spin as my approach to the green was with a pitching wedge from 125 yards out. May include the odd ball with PRACTICE stamped on, these balls are great for social games/summer nights, save your best balls for competition golf.
