Despite the small hiccup with having to scrape down the charging terminals we described earlier in the review, using the Cordless Plus was a fairly simple experience. Final Thoughts One thing we didn’t like about the charging process is that there is no clear signal that the battery is charging. No sound, no flashing light to let you know charging has started or finished.

Coming in at the same price as a good counter-top Waterpik, the Cordless Plus is only really superior if you need a water flosser while traveling.Although this review is of the cordless plus, our experience with the Cordless Professional was identical. This review can also be used to determine whether or not the professional model is right for you. While the Waterpik unit is easy to wrap your fingers around, it feels quite bulky, especially with a full water reservoir.

Mineral deposits in water can reduce the effectiveness of your water flosser over time, particularly if you live in a hard-water area. The Waterpik flosser on this unit has 10 pressure settings delivering 10-100 PSI of pressure, but there is no timer or massage mode. In this sense, it's like the basic Waterpik Ultra WP120 but with a toothbrush included. The toothbrush has three modes: Clean, Whiten and Massage. It delivers up to 31,000 strokes per minute; not that powerful compared to most other sonic toothbrushes which deliver in the range of 40,000 to 60,000. He says: 'As a dentist, the preference would be for mechanical cleaning in between teeth with interdental brushes, where the anatomy allows. All in all, this is a decent basic model and the different tips are handy if you have gum problems or wear braces. But if you're switching from a different brand you might be disappointed at the level of power. Bought this and a travel one as have been having problems with my gums. If you are torn between the two I would definitely recommend getting the full size version. The two are not really comparable. Water tank in full size only needs filling once and you can change the pressure from 1 to 10. 5 is enough for me at the moment.”
