Full of intrigue and plots and sub plots, every time I thought I knew what was coming next there was another twist. We had shared memories… I could taste and feel her other lovers… each experience reaching away like a reflection in a hall of mirrors, diminishing into a kind of carnal background radiation, a sea of sensuous experience.

I guess future aliens will have much fun playing around with the most important factor of human society just as nowadays secret reptilian overlords that are already there.Every quarter-million years they all come together to share their experiences and combine their knowledge. I was born in Wales, but raised in Cornwall, and then spent time in the north of England and Scotland. The Lines do not inhabit planets, but instead travel through space, holding reunions after they have performed a "circuit" of the galaxy; something that takes about 200,000 years. El libro me ha dejado un muy buen sabor de boca y tengo muchas ganas de conocer los otros trabajos del autor.

The entries for very advanced tech levels were rather obtuse and never really given much detail as to how the technology worked or what it enabled. The amorous involvement - a taboo, given their cloned origin - between the two central characters adds extra spice to the unfolding tale.
