Previously, I saw some people mentioning that they got their Keydous NJ80 with a second volume knob, but I didn’t get one with mine. He's been reviewing gaming peripherals for almost a decade and has reviewed hundreds of mice, keyboards, controllers and other gaming peripherals. The typing experience on this with the gat milky yellows is very creamy. I decided I would need at least a few mods to make it sound more to my liking, but honestly, it is perfect the way it is already. If you are a fan of linear switches then the gateron milky yellow switches are a great option. I am able to connect to my MacBook and PC relatively fast via Bluetooth. No input lag when using Bluetooth for office use, and it shows the battery percentage on the Bluetooth section of your mac. The battery lasts a decent amount of time when used wirelessly, and I am able to switch to my two devices as needed. Love that it came with 2 colored knobs, gold and silver, and also extra keycaps to make my keyboard all white, which matches my aesthetic more.

No per-key RGB settings are available, but you get quite a number of common RGB effects that you will find with most gaming keyboards in the market. I like the purple and white keyboard, it’s really pretty and the feel and sound (well built, solid stabs, and smooth switches) when typing makes this one of the best keyboards you will come across at this price. Keydous has both Windows and macOS compatibility built into the NJ80. To switch to Mac mode, press and hold Fn+M for 2 seconds. If the lighting blinks twice, you’ve entered Mac mode, it blinks once when you exit. Warranty and Reliability

Keydous did a pretty good job with the keycaps, with sharp, precisely-positioned legends. These are Dye-subbed PBT keycaps, which are actually doing the RGB underneath an injustice. Yes, the Keydous NJ80 does have RGB LEDs, but as the board is South-facing, the LEDs won’t do that great a job of illuminating your regular shine-through keycaps, which often have the legends on the upper portion of the keycaps.

But since this is a Chinese manufacturer, if you end up buying from AliExpress or Taobao, make sure there’s a straightforward way to claim the warranty if you end up needing to. Conclusion I only have two functionality complaints with the NJ80-AP. First, I don’t like how the dongle sits under the keyboard. It just sits on the underside facing straight down, making me nervous it might randomly fall out while ferrying it between work and home. Other keyboards I have used have it recessed in the notch made for the legs, which feels a bit more secure. That said, the dongle does fit pretty securely in there, so it is unlikely to fall out unless it loosens up over time. Either way, this could only potentially be an issue if you plan to move the keyboard between different locations often.

Keep the Bluetooth receiver away from WIFI signal sources, handle the keyboard gently when inserting and removing the shaft body, and store the keyboard in a cool and dry environment when not in use. The NJ80 has some useful function key shortcuts included. Pressing Fn+1/2/3 cycles through Bluetooth Modes, and Fn+4 switches the keyboard to the 2.4Ghz connection. Fn+5 enters the keyboard into both Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz modes. Speaking of which, the bronze coloration of the brass plate also doesn’t really bode well for sharp, punchy lighting. It does affect the purity of the RGB lighting, which is a slight bummer, but you can easily adjust to it. Like what I have here on my Keydous NJ80 is a slightly bluish white light, which involves me compensating on the blue channel to overcome the yellowish hue that the plate brings to the table. If you really fancy your RGB, you might want to go with the steel plate option, which is painted in white.
