Sadly, there wasn't too much back-and-forth between any personalities - pity, because that was always the most hilarious thing about the show and it gave Moon Knight more depth.

I'd rather not though, as this is all brilliantly told in the first three pages of the comic without the use of flashbacks, just very clever exposition. I feel the dank, dark rooms enveloping around me and the descent into madness feels like it's just below my feet. Moon Knight received his first ongoing series in 1980, with Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz as its main creative team. I need more in my comics than just fight scenes and brooding, and for me, that's all that this brought to the table. The experience shakes Moon Knight, leading him to question if he is also misguided in his belief that he follows the will of Khonshu.He is discharged and earns a living as an underground boxer and fighter in Baghdad until he is recruited by French pilot and mercenary Jean-Paul “Frenchie” DuChamp. If you are looking for more of a deep dive into his mental health aspect, check out Lemire’s run, and if you want a grittier run, check out the Huston/Benson/Hurwitz era. To make matters worse, an enemy has emerged from Moon Knight’s past to bring the Fist of Khonshu to his knees.

The Slings and Arrows Graphic Novel Guide doesn't care where you've been, where you're going or where you're located. Once again, Marc Spector is depicted as being in regular therapy with a psychologist to help manage his psychological issues. Equally, I was sad to see that the car and the glider/drone were just that - machinery instead of aspects of his suit! They’re still there but not so pronounced and there are no tedious sequences where a “tortured” Moon Knight looks up at the moon and whines “Whyyyyyyy meeeeee?Six issues, no crossovers, no fat wedges of exposition and it all sings with a brutal economy of craft. White is used a lot in Moon Knight, because it's what his costume is mainly made up of, so Shalveys and colourist Jodie Bellaire work it into the visual style and story. It is debated in different stories whether Spector has genuine DID due to childhood trauma or if his similar symptoms are the result of "brain damage" caused by his psychic connection to Khonshu, a connection compelling his personality to shift between the four major aspects of the moon god's multi-faceted nature ("the traveler", "the pathfinder", "the embracer", and "the defender of those who travel at night"). The volume is set to conclude with issue 30 in December 2023 with the storyline "The Last Days of Moon Knight".

The Avengers, a team that relies on cooperation with the US government and the United Nations, learn Moon Knight gained help in invading the consulate by showing his credentials as an Avengers reservist and implying he was on an official mission.

During this time, Spector encounters CIA operative Jason Macendale, who later becomes the costumed mercenary Jack O'Lantern and then becomes the second villain to adopt the name Hobgoblin. Marc believes he meets and befriends a boy named Steven Grant, not realizing he himself is acting as Steven at times. Marvel's most mind-bending adventure begins NOW as Moon Knight sleuths his way to the rotten core of New York's most bizarre mysteries! During one adventure, Spector encounters the Midnight Man, a thief named Anton Mogart who steals for the thrill and wears a black costume resembling Moon Knight's own suit.
