Numicon® builds a deep understanding of maths through an active, multi-sensory approach using structured imagery such as Numicon® Shapes and number rods. This tactile, innovative, hands-on approach to maths invites children to touch, explore and manipulate materials, helping them to grasp mathematical concepts. Activities can include matching shapes to numeral cards, creating number lines or filling the shapes with pegs. Sequencing can be a difficult thing for children to begin with, but this visual aid will get feeling comfortable in no time.
