It’s incredibly important to have a long-lasting chisel. Buying a good chisel that will last you a lifetime in your woodworking shop. Historically, the 750 has been widely accepted among the users. Stanley previously stopped the production of these 750 series almost 40 years ago. For many, wood chisels are incredibly important tools, used to carve their ideas to life. For most, a wood chisel is simply a tool used in the woodworking hobby shop. So, no doubt, it’s quite overwhelming to decide on the right chisel if you don’t know their upsides and downsides accurately.

If you want a good set of workhorse chisels, you really can’t go wrong with the Stanley Sweethearts.Later, I will give a piece of brief information about the Stanley brand, make a comparison between Stanley Sweetheart and Stanley Bailey.

The chisels felt very well-balanced and easy to hold. For fine woodworking, this is really important and will help reduce fatigue. The complete 8-piece set In short, the Stanley Sweetheart chisels were sharp enough, but not “scary sharp’ and cannot shave hairs.All the chisels are user-friendly, seem durable, made from high-quality materials, lightweight, offer useful handles, super portable, and easy to store.

These are mid-range chisels, and I think they should be reviewed as such. Plus, they are made in England, or at least that’s what it says on the box. Stanley Sweetheart Chisels Review The presentation box clearly indicates the chisel sizes in inches and mm. There’s also a small window where you can touch the leather chisel roll. The Sweetheart models come with protectors on the edge of every chisel, but the Narex models don’t. The steel is stronger and the tools feel heavier as a result. Narex, on the other hand, has a lighter, softer steel that’s more malleable and can bend. Interestingly enough, the 750 portion of the title “Stanley Sweetheart 750 Chisels Review” comes from the name of the design. Another point of view is that as woodworkers we hope that people appreciate out hand-made creations and the effort that has gone into the work. In some cases machine made dovetails in items from the Far East will be more precise than mine, but mine are hand cut and that counts for something – I hope. In the same respect, I like to buy hand-made tools. i can aford them in small number and I love to use them because I know a guy from, for example, Ashley Iles (who have been mentioned here) ground them by hand. If we only promote cheap mass-produced items then why do we bother doing woodwork at all when it can be churned out by machines – is there any value in hand-made? I find it quite depressing when I shop for tools in large stores to find that its nearly all cheap and mass produced, and i’d argue a lot is rubbish and won’t last a lifetime at all (so I don’t buy it). In addition to all this, buying the likes of Ashley Iles and Clifton planes supports local craftsmen, when the craft has largely died out. If we as craftsmen don’t see the value in the crafft of toolmaking, why should we expect others to value our craft of woodwork?Most modern chisels are shaped with a CNC, meaning you’ll see machine marks. You can certainly see them on the Sweetheart, as you will with Narex or other chisels in this price range. The answer to who makes the best wood chisels is a simple one. Or is it? We've looked at the gold standard for chisels and tell you which one comes out on top. It's close, but originality wins every time.
