Description

Montalbano promises him that he will investigate and, as soon as the man is dismissed, he is joined by the father of Inspector Fazio to find out about his son, who has not shown up at their appointment. Montalbano brings François to his home, where Montalbano's girlfriend Livia looks after him; she wants to adopt the child. Montalbano finally discovers that Barletta was shot by his son Arturo who has serious financial problems, while the poisoning was carried out by his daughter Giovanna, who had an incestuous relationship with her father and was jealous of his new girlfriend, as well as being afraid of losing her legacy.
