Description

Tipping the cabinet on its side shows the fully exposed driver mounted in the centre of the cabinet's bottom panel. This high-quality subwoofer will work happily with studio monitors from other brands but will work best alongside Adam Audio's T series speakers. Furthermore the satellites, lightened by the reproduction of first two octaves with all the consequential interactions and the "fatigue" in power / performance that this entails, they take on a "new light" and the whole Sub + Satellites system positively synergizes in determining the total performance. By registering the supplied licence in your account with a particular software vendor you are creating a permanent record of ownership so please be advised to make a note of your login details at the time of registration. The control panel gives access to the crossover frequency three-way slide switch, a polarity invert switch, and a volume knob with 0dB marked just past the mid-way position. I don't know how gimmicky the speaker cone placement is, but a big problem is that it won't allow you to use the ISOsub200.Its active crossover can be set to either 80Hz, 120Hz or bypass, and appropriately high-pass–filtered outputs are provided to feed the connected 'tops'. Often users have their sub set way too loud, but the right way to set it is so that when you hit the footswitch to compare the sound with the main speakers on their own, all you miss is that lower octave — there should be no extra sense of loudness at the bass end with the switched sub in, just a sense of more depth. I think it does a really good job of adding lower end and the volume knob lets you tweak how loud you want that lower end to be. Just the right amount of oomph to add to my Yamaha HS7's; standby feature is useful, albeit a bit annoying at times as you have to wait 2-3 seconds for it to power up when it "hears" a signal coming through.

The T10S provides the performance you need during this critical stage of the creative process, whether you're mixing for TV, Film, Music, or Games. Takes a couple seconds for it to fire up when you haven't used it in 15 minutes, but it is a very minor issue. Or to understand what all those who are not equipped with a sub or in any case a complete reproduction system on the low frequencies side can hear from our mix.A very deep and clean layer in agreement with the ribbon tweeters in the T-Series makes for an impressive whole. Furthermore, given the frequencies involved, the formation of standing waves as well as waves that overlap in total or partial counterphase and still trigger unwanted vibrations, are always lurking. Equipped with a down-firing 10 inch woofer and a 130 W Class-D amplifier, the T10S' frequency response ranges from 28 Hz to 120 Hz and offers an impressive max. I strongly recommend that you get some acoustic foam panels and some corner bass traps to deaden the acoustics in the room (see my other reviews).
