You’re very right, we are all broken to some extent or another- maybe those of us who realise it are in a better position than those who don’t? a massive amount of time passes while in the book and even though there are large chunks of time missing from being explained or delved into, it wasn't a bad thing. You have woven together some wonderful imagery, song lyrics and poetry along with your own experiences and verse to create an article that needs to be first savored then shared with many people. Wartime and the atrocities that splintered, destroyed so many families, features heavily throughout this third book.This book opens in 1914, just before the Second World War, which has a huge impact on the community that. The song opens with the female singer wanting to “pick [him] up at a quarter to three” and also “wake [him] up… at a quarter to one” in the middle of the night. Charlotte Betts drew me back into 1914, and the lives of the characters from the very first page, it felt like I had never been away. Some of us may fail to acknowledge our brokenness, but it’s important to remember acknowledging a problem is the first step to solving it. By turns heartwarming and heartbreaking, this story of friendship, forgiveness and unexpected romance reveals the lies we tell to hide dark secrets—and what can happen when we let in a little light.

To me and from Emma's comments at the back of the book, this book took its time in coming to fruition. She has won first prize in five short story competitions and wrote a regular column on interior design for The Maidenhead Advertiser for two years. please tell me that chocolate digestives are cookies because it sounds like medicine for a rumbly stomach.The writing is warm and evocative and you can imagine the beautiful scenery as you read, settling into the family as if you were one of them. That ending was quite a very interesting one that was very captivating definitely putting a closure to what all had gone on there in this village of Rowan Hill. As for me, I try to remember that every hitter in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame was successful at the plate no more than between three and four times out of ten.

I still haven’t finished it, but even when I am not writing, it gives my mind a place to go that is not so hopeless. Yes, this book is written in English but there were quite a few words and phrases that really stumped me. Started off well: I was impressed with the good, enjoyable-to-read writing style, and it was quite gripping and interesting initially. She was such a wonderful person, who's confidence was destroyed when her ex attacked her character and personality in an attempt to justify his actions.

This was one of those books that had been on my Kindle for quite a while, but time had conspired to keep stopping me reading it. I loved seeing the final development of the characters, who have come so far since the first book, especially as in this book the children are now adults.
