If screen real estate is your top priority then the Dell UltraSharp U4021QW is for you. This ultrawide, 40-inch behemoth will provide you with so much space to work, that you can effectively ditch the second screen. It even offers that in glorious 4K too meaning your work and tasks will look spectacular. For more robust recording storage and streaming to TV, a standalone USB NVR device is worth considering. These devices, like the Blink Sync Module 2 NVR, connect to your Blink cameras, providing enhanced recording management and an HDMI output for TV viewing. Next up: how you'll actually connect your new monitor to your computer or other device. This equation is anything but simple, and often leads to confused buyers spending more than they need on marketing mumbo-jumbo. With its remarkable color accuracy, a range of connectivity options including Thunderbolt and USB-C, and a sleek design with thin bezels and an adjustable stand, the BenQ PD2725U is a great choice for those in need of a reliable display for work. However, it does come at a premium price point that may not be reasonable for all users.

The BenQ PD3205U USB-C Designer monitor is a beautiful display that we are genuinely impressed with. We expected a good display with good color accuracy - but the PD3205U effortlessly surpassed those expectations. Apple's Pro Display XDR provides exceptional color accuracy and build quality at a price that's competitive compared with reference-grade pro monitors, though beyond the budget of typical users. (The stand alone costs an extra grand!) It has no buttons, and ports are limited to USB-C and Thunderbolt. Don't even bother to connect a non-Mac computer to it. resolution may be de rigueur these days for monitors and televisions, but this Eizo ColorEdge sets its sights a little lower at 2540x1440, resulting in a pixel count of about 3.7MP instead of 8.3MP. The pixel density is also lower for a 27-inch screen, at 109ppi rather than 163ppi, but the image quality still looks absolutely super-sharp.Business monitors usually offer ergonomic stands that can be adjusted for maximum comfort. Often, they'll offer pivot adjustability, which lets you rotate the screen 90 degrees for viewing in portrait mode. Look for a monitor with an auto-rotate feature that flips the image for you when you change the orientation. Other business-centric features include a generous (three- or four-year) warranty with an overnight exchange service, built-in USB ports, and an aggressive recycling program. It shines in real-world performance too, and proved that in our testing. The wide color gamut of 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and 95% P3 is superb, and in our testing the screen actually surpassed one of those measures, reaching 98% DCI-P3 color coverage. The Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution is about as low as we'd want to go in a 24-inch monitor if you can accept a little visible pixelation if you look hard enough. Otherwise, this Dell's IPS image quality gives great color space coverage for the money (99% sRGB, 99% Rec709, and 85% DCI-P3), along with factory color calibration ensuring accuracy of Delta-E less than 2.

The HP 24mh is for cash-strapped individuals looking for a monitor that's a good value and will fit on a small desk. It's a good option for households, home offices, and dorms. Its sRGB color coverage is great, so it's good for photo viewing or basic editing. Users who can afford one should opt for a more full-featured monitor, but the HP 24mh offers more than you'd typically get for its bargain-basement price. Open Documents As New Tabs In The Same Window (requires relaunch): Groups multiple documents into tabs when opened. You can also snap or pull out tabs as individual windows. Select a tab and drag the thumbnail that appears away from the toolbar, and then release the tab.The HP Z32k has all the connectivity you could hope for in a premium business monitor. The screen’s high resolution and pixel density, coupled with superior color coverage and accuracy, make it ideal for workers who prepare photos, graphics, and video for online use. However, those who use the Adobe RGB space for processing photos and art for printing would be better off getting a professional graphic arts monitor with better coverage of that color space. The Z32k doesn't come cheap, but its features and performance earn it our Editors' Choice nod as an elite productivity monitor. Prices vary within each category, depending on the screen size, the panel technology used, and extra features. Budget Monitors During our time testing the Studio Display we did get a little frustrated that the ability to raise or lower the display comes at an additional cost, and that the built-in camera isn’t exactly ground-breaking. But as a companion to any recent Mac, the Studio Display is hard to beat. The high-resolution UHD 3840 x 2160 LED display offers true-to-life color, and while not the brightest monitor, we found the 2000:1 contrast ratio and HDR features helped to create a well-balanced, beautiful image. We found the monitor works well for editing and reviewing video content with accurate colors. The maximum number of perceived grey levels that the monitor can produce are identifiable to the human visual system.
