It was perfect for my 200-level class, and gave me all the information I needed, but I don't think it would be the ideal text for an introductory biology course. It is this potent combination of expertly crafted pedagogy and engagement that make this new edition the best resource for biology students. However, I should mention that this may not be an easy listen for someone who has never taken an introductory biology course at the university level. The book has a lot of scientific information helpful in getting a good grasp in introductory Biology. Unfortunately, there is one mistake in this book, to be found in chapter 34, "Deuterostomate Animals. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. The title and intro (the opening lines of chapter 1) of this audiobook suggests that this is made for non-scientists as well.
