There is a great chart from Oombawka Design Crochet that tells you some great info about how to make a hat that fitsincluding how long to make them if you’d like it to be a slouch hat. Cloche– a more formal, bell shaped hat (cloche comes from the french word for bell) with a downward sloping brim at the front which may be worn pointing down or turned up and embellished. You can see that the proportions of the crown, body and brim will change in different styles of hat.Use this method to join corresponding stitches up until the end of the starting chain.
