I've just finished reading Marcus Buckingham's book First, Break All the Rules: What the World's Greatest Managers Do Differently recently, and enjoyed it immensely. We have to trust the authors the "great" managers really are since very little information is provided about them to independently judge.The author gives important insights to maximizing strengths, understanding the crucial differences between leadership and management, and fulfilling the quest for long-lasting personal success.

Instead of scrolling through your social media news feed, this is a much better way to spend your spare time in my opinion. In most cases, no matter what it is, if you measure it and reward it, people will try to excel at it. The other possible questions on pay, benefit and such are not significant differentiators in workplace strength so they are not included in the core 12.
