I would have liked to see some removable panels in the long hood with technical details beneath; the interior structure could easily accommodate it. I still want my Ep6 speederbike! There was also a a lot of support for a Nebbie, a twin-pod cloud car or a T-16 might be interesting, the sail barge would be popular, the skiff probably less-so, and they could probably make the Rebel transport and at least one Mon Cal cruiser work (but they’d need to be spaced out a bit. They could make the SE Imperial landing craft, but I don’t know how well that would play vs the Tyderium. There will also be repeats of vehicles that have already been done. So, there’s a lot of life left besides just the Bomber. But I’m also hoping to get the Soulless One someday, and Jango’s Slave I. There’s also some very interesting techniques to hold the very tip of the nose in place which at first it seemed way over-engineered. But once the curved flex tubing is added later, it’s apparent that the extra strength this design provides is needed. Once the engines are attached, the landspeeder itself is complete. This is one of our favorite Lego Star Wars models of recent years, perfectly balancing detail, build quality, and price. Today, the LEGO Group announces the new epic LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker Landspeeder set – the latest in the LEGO Ultimate Collector Series (UCS). A faithful recreation of Luke’s battered vehicle, the new 1,890-piece model is a must-have for Star Wars and LEGO fans alike. Use clever building techniques to construct the recognisable features plus a custom-made LEGO element captures the windscreen’s shape Anyway, the designers did a really nice job here capturing the landspeeder's colors and "streamline moderne" inspired curves! It's also neat that C-3PO finally has a dual-molded right leg, something that I feel is long overdue. I could just as easily do without some of the other details on that minifigure like the printing on the sides of the legs, but the dual-molded leg is a big improvement over the printed silver details that previous C-3PO minifigs had to settle for. To answer that question, most UCS sets based on ships that are "starfighter" size or smaller fall into that category: the UCS X-Wing, Y-wing, A-Wing, B-Wing, Snowspeeder, TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor, etc. When dealing with ships that small, minifigure scale wouldn't really be big enough to allow for an "Ultimate Collector Series" level of detail. Thankfully, Lego has varied the construction of each a little, so each engine isn’t a complete replica of each other. This is perhaps the slowest part of the build, but aside from the stand they’re the last things to do. So, once you’re finished with them, you’ve got a fantastic finished model to admire.
