The HAF 500 was the first to bring back the company’s high airflow chassis series, but this was a rather tame affair that didn’t inspire Leo with much positivity towards the new line of HAF cases. To unlock their true potential, cooling components must work, not individually, but together as an ecosystem. You have the power supply (when installed), the magazine-like drive caddy with its removable drive sleds and the RGB and fan hub. We’ve discussed all of the case's novel features so far, save for one: Iris is the LCD screen at the front of the case that can showcase anything from your hardware’s temperatures to a picture or even video. Cooler Master has included an RGB and fan hub which comes pre-connected and conveniently placed for future additional fans and LEDs.

It sits in a similar sector as big cases like the Corsair Obsidian 1000D but in terms of looks and ease of installation, the HAF 700 is better in almost every department, the only area that the 1000D wins is with its dual system support. Over the last few years, airflow-focused cases have gained so much popularity that all-glass enclosures have become a meme to be mocked. With the generous amounts of airflow provided by the HAF 700, DeepCool’s AK400 single tower cooler performed the best out of the coolers tested – but even the weakest cooler we used was capable of handling roughly 120 watts. The HAF 700 EVO is certainly designed for systems like these, ensuring that every single component can be properly cooled in a large container with high airflow. It's not like the HAF 700 EVO is made from exotic materials, just the usual mix of steel, plastic and tempered glass.All water pumps are set to maximum RPM and fans are set to a fixed RPM by the Motherboard software/BIOS. Filtration is further improved with a huge dust filter on the bottom that includes a magnet on the rear to guide re-insertion correctly after cleaning. Well, the engineers have put a big emphasis on tool-free installation which is noticeable as soon as you remove the case panels in preparation to begin your installation. You just have to make sure that you motherboard is good enough to be worthy of the case (not the other way round).

Extensive cooling support includes radiator locations in the front, floor, top and side with up to 480mm maximum length and a dual-chamber layout to maximise cooling potential.
