My search of the LLORG yielded one post wherein a member mentioned, without further comment, that he had included Linkword in his study plan for Russian. A similar search of the HTLAL yielded one post wherein the method was briefly discussed. Although this thread should not be taken as a complete review, it does include a couple of interesting comments. The best language learning software I’ve tried. Having spent hundreds of pounds on Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur this software is pure gold to the language student. Linkword really does work! No rote method required, no endlessly repeating verbs and nouns to find the next day you’ve forgotten them.

Studies we have conducted showed that a group of manages at Thomson holidays learned a vocabulary of 400 words AND a basic Grammar in 12 hours- about 3 times faster than normal as assessed by an independent assessor. In fact an assessment of normal learning of languages by school children in the UK found that on average they learned only about 800-900 words in 4 years!! For holidays, even getting to the end of level 1 will help enormously to make yourself understood and to understand in for example, emergencies, shopping, eating in a restaurant,travelling etc.
