Fireman Sam proved so popular that several iterations of the TV series were produced, as well as various movies, stage productions, and even a musical. In 2003, a new series was created that introduced an Australian character, Tom Thomas, a rescue pilot who flew a helicopter known as the Wallaby One. This series aired with 26 episodes and ended in 2005. In 2008, another new Fireman Sam series began; this version moved Pontypandy from the interior lands to the seaside. Fireman Sam Toys

In series 10 it gained a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) which has an inbuilt Mapscreen system and various information regarding incidents. Ironically, this episode was foreshadowed by Norman in the previous series, making this the first episode to be hinted out from an earlier episode.She has her own trailer that can carry cargo and water rescue vehicles such as Juno and the Hovercraft.
