I won't say I'm exactly over K, the racing car driver or swanning around in Ferraris and Aston Martins, as I watch Youtube videos of him racing (he has a camera in the cockpit), but it's kind of lessening, and my desire to go racing again is raging in me, a real passion. And I loved the anecdote about the race when Jenson could not remember how to start the car - he was in pole position, too, so no pressure . Although very hard-hitting, it was also an exceptionally eye-opening chapter on the basis that I firmly believed his dad had died of a heart attack. In these challenging COVID stay at home times, I feel that F1 books are now are a more important source of re-living the sport’s classic battles and an alternate (temporary) fix for F1 junkies.

How does it compare with Jenson’s previous “ My Championship Year” book on his 2009 championship season with Brawn GP? Putting Life to the Limit together was an amazing experience and I’m excited to be embarking on a new challenge by putting the reader in the paddock, behind the wheel and behind the scenes of the show that never ends which is Formula One! We don’t necessarily see the full real Jensen Button, but we see more than enough to make this an enjoyable and engrossing read. It's the before I knew nothing of - how much blood, sweat and tears went into getting Jenson where he is today. Also for a short book, I lost count of how many times he mentioned that he’s a dad now, he lives in California or his partners name.

Formula 1 is a relatively new crush, having only been introduced to it really within the last 3 years but 3 years could easily be 33 because I have enveloped myself in Formula 1 ever since my boyfriend introduced me to it and I’ve wanted to watch and learn and read everything I can about it. I think my favourite is Chapter 11, How To Not Quite, Not Nearly, Win Le Mans, but sorry, I'm not about to provide a spoiler!

What life is like living outside the F1 bubble and having to learn how to be normal and do things for himself. It is packed full of exclusive insights, unknown stories and never-before heard anecdotes, making it a great read for F1 fans and the perfect gift at Christmas.I did find myself drifting a little when he was describing the races in the second half of the book, but I was mostly interested. Didn't really understand this kind of structure, since there wasn't some kind of connection between those chapters, but I did enjoy his writing. This book captured the essence of Formula 1 in great detail and if you're a massive fan like me, you'll learn so much from it.

If you like racing and have a sense of humour, you will probably enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed it. The chapter with him talking about his dad's death was truly heartwarming and brought tears to my eyes. Even I still miss seeing John at races, so I totally understand why, after his death, Jenson just didn't have the heart for it. Born in Frome, Somerset, British Racing driver Jenson Button has been in Formula 1 for seventeen years, appearing in 309 grands prix, the second most in history.He also managed to keep me entertained when he was talking about some of the not so fan aspects of the sport, so props to him for his storytelling skills. There were so many different ones and they all had that stretched-out beauty, reaching upward and outward, or just standing around, all the proportions were perfect. There’s almost nothing about his personal life - while I can’t help being a bit nosy about some things, it’s actually refreshing to read something focused on the most interesting stuff and I actually learned a lot about my favourite sport as well. Jenson Button, at 20 years of age, was the youngest British driver to debut in Formula One in 2000 and the tenth to win the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship in 2009. While he is very open about his relationship with his dad, several other relationships are glossed over.
