There is no doubt that the coronation ceremony in London's Westminster Abbeywill be a solemn affair, with music befitting the occasion. As we mentioned earlier, protesters and human rights groups have criticised the Met over the arrests of anti-monarchy protesters. Pop band Take That will take the stage in its current trio lineup, but there are rumors that Jason Orange might not want to miss out on joining his old band to sing for the newly crowned royal couple. The service concludes with a selection of music including Elgar’s rousing Pomp and Circumstance March No.

It is the first time in history that such a recording has been produced, marking an unprecedented event in both recorded music and British royal history. Following the traditional coronation ceremony on Saturday, a star-packed concert will take place in the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 7 for 20,000 members of the public and guests, but this sadly won’t feature on the album release.The recording, featuring both the music and spoken word from the ceremony, will be available to stream and download on May 6. There were also several newly commissioned works in the service, celebrating leading British composers, alongside great anthems and organ works by Byrd, Elgar and Parry. Six orchestral commissions, five choral commissions and one organ commission, have been specially composed for the occasion by world-renowned British composers whose work includes Classical, Sacred, Film, Television and Musical Theatre. Commissioned works include a new Coronation Anthem by Andrew Lloyd Webber, a Coronation March by Patrick Doyle, a new commission for solo organ embracing musical themes from countries across the Commonwealth by Iain Farrington plus new works by Sarah Class, Nigel Hess, Paul Mealor, Tarik O'Regan, Roxanna Panufnik, Shirley J.
