A book of illustrations of Tokyo Ghoul wallpaper. It contains, among other things, the Tokyo Ghoul tankōbon cover art. After the events of last volume Kankei is trying to figure out what to do. He learns to balance his life as a ghoul and pretend to be human he must master that. He also learns what the Ghouls in this section of the city do to protect themselves and not have the government hunt them. This volume really focuses on the bigger world building parts and giving some in-look on how it all works. There's also a major death that helps build up character in new ways and give them a reason to fear or love them. I LOVE the cover of this volume of Tokyo Ghoul vol 2 - it is so freaking gorgeous! I wish all character covers were so pretty... and the fact Touka is a ghoul is pretty ironic considering. We meet Yomo, a new character who introduces to Ken what Anteiku does so that peaceful ghouls can eat without killing anyone. I love when character design works so well to make us understand a character. The masks make this feel a lot more horrorish than the previous volume too. I also found the ghoul investigators more horrifying in their character designs. You can tell from the art that some are monsters worse than ghouls and that others are doing a duty, a job. Overall the art suits the manga very well independently of the battle frames. The fast-paced plot keeps readers engaged as they follow Ken Kaneki’s struggles against the oppressive human world. Tokyo Ghoul :re vol.2 [Japanese Edition] offers a unique take on a classic genre that will appeal to both manga fans and newcomers alike.

A: Yes! Theres plenty of action and suspense throughout this volume, making it an exciting read from start to finish that will keep fans engaged until the end! Bad: It's a slower building chapter with lots of parts so it feels like Kankei doesn't grow much. I know this happens later (Due to watching the anime) but I can see people getting frustrated with his views on the world. A: Absolutely!
