The story does leave something to be desired, as it is very short in length. While it was very captivating, I would have loved it to be expanded to be double in length, so I would have more time to become invested in all of the characters. There are tons of interesting ones, but with so little time with them, the reader does not get a chance to fully get to know them. Kyrie and Medusa were very fun characters and they had an excellent dynamic. We are looking to employ staff who are committed, compassionate, dedicated, and want to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable young women in our care. The role can be challenging at times, but massively rewarding, as young women flourish. The Medusa Project has been one our top Preferred Providers during the inaugural decade of the Preferred Provider Framework in children’s services. I would still recommend it though, as it was fun and I laughed a lot with Kyrie and Medusa (and Elijah 😂.

The writing was captivating and like Lou Wilham's other book I read, it was just so easy to get caught up in the read and thralls of the storyline. A minimum of 3 years of experience of working with young people who display self-harming behaviours Overall, this concept would make an excellent series as there could be mysteries surrounding all of the different myths and legends. I would love a new figure of mythology featured with the detective agency as the central link between the stories. This novel was very original, as I have not read this take on bringing mythology to the modern world in a mystery setting before. It was super interesting and it was hard to put down. I devoured this story in an hour and would love to read more! [3.5 rounded to 4] The results are an entertaining murder mystery with super fun character interactions. Because the book is on the short side, it doesn't do a lot of hand-holding, so I would probably only recommend this for people that are already familiar with the Medusa myth. They're more likely to enjoy the new twist on the characters, anyway. So far, this is the only book to take place in this modern-day fantasy universe, but if the author ever decides to return to it, or these characters, I would happily read book two.

Women have been fighting for so long for their rights and the struggle has become even more crucial in the current political climate. With so many powerful movements spearheaded by womxn in the last few years and the blatant violation of women’s rights brings out the urgency for women’s equality. which brings me to the reasons for not rating The Medusa Project with the highest score. We notice the LGBTQ+ romance in conception, yet that side of the story was not (that much) dwelled into. I am disappointed that the romance between Medusa and Kyrie did not (actually) come to fruition, especially with the well-written slow-burn subplot. Both characters are openly queer throughout the novella, yet I am left wondering whether they got together at the end. The stakes are rising as Ketty and her team discover that Foster is more than ready to set off a bomb to get what he wants. Can Ketty control her powers and use them to save the day, and control her feelings for Nico, whilst trying to protect her older brother? I loved the concept of the world in The Medusa Project, done exceptionally well, transporting me to ancient times with a modern-era spin and allowing me to see the different, more human, side of the Greek gods and their subjects (sort of speak). The dark perspective and the mystery intertwined with the possible love story are, in my opinion, the sparks that set the mood and the tone right. The Medusa Project series is an interesting premise, and is paced as fast as TV show 24. I didn't like this second instalment as much as the first, though I still enjoyed it and whizzed through it. My problem with this particular book was Ketty's narration. She wasn't as captivating as Nico, and at times seemed to be overly dependent on the other three Medusa kids. I didn't gel with her or the other characters as much this time around, though I do think The Hostage had a much better storyline than The Set-Up.

I love the idea of the Medusa gene, and all the special powers Nico, Ketty, Ed and Dylan have found themselves with. As each book progresses and is told from the point of view of a different character, more information about their powers is revealed, and they get the chance to use them in different environments. Think teenage X-Men in England, and you'll get what I mean. We work with young women (gender-inclusive) between the ages of 16-21 with autism and complex emotional needs, who can present with challenging behaviours such as self-harming and suicidal ideation. making a positive contribution: to the community and to society and not engaging in anti-social or offending behaviour The Medusa Project is a new take on the known mythology and transports it into a short and sweet mystery story. The novel takes place in the modern-day town of Lore where the Greek gods from mythology live among us. Although they are still immortal, their powers are not as great as they once were where some have fewer powers and others have none. The campaign was equally important in the history of the American Poetry as it was heralded and promoted by the poems written by many suffragists who were part of that defining movement. This fact confirms the urgency and the necessity of the poetry and the salient role creative arts play in defining society at large.I loved how Greek gods and humans were intertwined together and I love a good murder mystery sleuth.
