This book provides a conclusive, happy ending. I liked that characters from the previous book made an appearance. Set in New York, I enjoyed the glamour of the setting and its fast-pace; it reflects the daily pressures that both Farrah and Blake experience – not just in terms of their careers. It also made it feel completely different to the first story, rather than an extension of it. But, while she is the quintessential rich girl on the surface, in reality Kris is a strong and whip smart young woman who will do anything to protect her father: literally the only family she has after her mother left her when she was two. She concocts a diabolical plan to catch her step-monster Gloria having an affair. And the smoking hot server at her favorite café is just Gloria’s type. Farrah’s mom is a wonderful addition to the story. Though she does not have a huge role, her sage advice is exactly the affirmation Farrah needs. She starts off a little vain but from my experiences with her in previous books, I knew that was just a façade front she puts on to deal with her situations.
