DC has released their October Solicitations, and we’ve listed below all the Superman publications scheduled to be released. Superman: Space Ageis a new limited series by Mark Russell and Michael Allred that places the Man of Steel smack dab in the middle of this pivotal decade. It's about telling the truth, standing up to power and using our historic freedoms of the press, as real or imagined as they have been in the past, to mean something. Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Superman and Batman are never as close here as they are in the comics and most other adaptations. While it isn't his strongest cultural critique, Superman: Space Age has the potential to be an excellent take on what it feels like to watch the world set itself up for destruction without truly knowing when things will come to an end -- or if there is a way to fix things.

They just thought they were making a comic book set in some generic present, whereas now we acknowledge what was important about that decade's history. Noble Demon: Brainiac, of all entities, is concerned with saving the multiverse by extracting all the worlds' best heroes in a chance at stopping the Crisis. Even with the extra characters, he is the focus, and the audience will be intrigued by the themes touched on in this book, especially when the art is so captivating and fresh.

In this series, the Joker doesn’t appear until the 1980s, two decades after Batman showed up on the scene.It's really in that way that Lois kind of becomes the biggest influence on Superman, because he sees the courage it takes to tell the truth to power and to go out and report on wars and events without being bulletproof. There is plenty of potential for Superman: Space Age to take off even further in future installments. Lex Luthor sees it and he thinks this world is on its way out, so I need to make sure I grab as much as I can and bury myself underground as deep as I can before it all implodes. It's like giving Superman the challenge of figuring out what it means to be good in a world that is spiraling out of control.
