Putting the Decay up to the 2 mark and the Level on around 1 makes a really lovely echo, good for just noodling around on, and doesn't suck much of the bass out as it echoes around. The harmonics and tunefulness are not the quality you're going to get with a Strymon blue sky or, and this results in chords normally sounding out of tune. The shimmer effect adds a fifth to your sound (and not an octave as it is normal with this type of effects - in the end is a matter of taste). Onboard you will find 3 reverb modes: Room which offers different sized acoustic reverbs, Spring offering classic spring reverb and shimmer which adds rich overtones to your reverb.You can then choose which finance term you'd like to apply for, and change your deposit if you wish. instead of shifting the reverb tail up an octave to get the shimmer effect (like most (all) shimmer pedals) it pitches the inbound notes up a 5th.

I purchased this reverb unit and it does work reasonably well as a spring reverb and also the room effect works reasonably well.

This faithful recreation captures the essence of the original Atari 400 while incorporating modern technology for an authentic retro gaming experience. I wasn't bothered about this so much when I was looking into this pedal, but I was really pleased with it. Shimmer function adds a new feature - the combination of 5 switches and an Octave button, which creates a different effect and bring more excellent sound to your music.

The big one labelled "Decay" defines the quality of the materials the room's made of - far to the left, and it's like being in a carpet-lined room with no reverb, to the right and it's more like being in a marble cavern. A variety of reverb pedals can do this, but Mooer's ShimVerb is one of the most affordable - and the Pro takes it to another level.

Sound quality wise, a Polara or similar are a little better, but this pedal is still good sounding has many options of verb types, and eq/verb parameter options, plus the shimmer function is quite changeable.

For all of the different pitches, you can set the shimmer, I find that only the fifth (+7 semitones) and octave are actually very usable. Rather than simply having the note sound back at you, it fades in slightly before introducing all these extra sounds, so it's very easy to get overwhelmed with everything very quickly, and a long decay afterwards doesn't help.
