So please give me your suggestions for a good build. This guys will mainly play against DG for now, until some of us will decide to buy some new KTs. Octarius had significantly more in it when put side-by-side with the new Chalnath box. This is to be expected, though: Chalnath is an expansion; it’s designed to work in tandem with the original Octarius box. Durability– Pathfinders take punches as hard as they deal them. 7 wounds on a 5+ armor save makes them about as durable as the standard guardsman, but unlike some other imperial factions they can’t use their faith to get an activation from death. This is essentially the standard commsman you can find on other teams, but with a pulse carbine and markerlight on top of the ability to boost the APL of a friendly operative. It’s important to find creative uses for the +1 APL; one potential good target is whichever model is holding onto the High-Intensity Markerlight and Analysis Targeting Optic equipment combo. This allows that operative to move into position, markerlight, and fire away at the same target while effectively enjoying the benefits of having 3 markerlights (two from the high-intensity + 1 from the Optic). Meanwhile, the T’au Pathfinders build upon their existing kit with an upgrade sprue full of advanced technology. Prototype weapons, advanced bionics, and sophisticated drone control systems ensure they always have the right tool for any job.

The big boy drone with all the fun abilities. This drone has 12 wounds, a heavy gun, and of course the Analyse (1 AP) action . Additionally as a little bonus, it gives you a Recon selection during scouting phase in addition to your actual scouting choice, which is one way you can guarantee the extra dash move for your Grenadier in the scenario we mentioned above.

Recon Sweep allows you to Dash around the edges of the killzone, fantastic for getting early ground and setting up crossfires on the enemy. A bit of a short section this time around as there’s only one bit of kit in the Chalnath box that’s designed to get you up and playing, and that’s the double-sided game board. This is really strong for your marksmen and if you can get a couple of Tau dudes up here, you’ll be sniping those Sisters with ease! With 23 figures in the box, there’s enough in Chalnath to keep you busy for a while, whether you’re just in it for the painting, or if you’re desperate for two new kill teams to begin slaughtering your pals with. GW do a couple of bundles to help you out, but they aren’t cheap. There’s the Rules Collection, which has the Core Book, the Compendium, and the Tactical Ops cards you need. There’s also the Essentials Collection, which has everything the Rules Collection has as well as some tokens, some gauges, and a few bits of scenery. CAVE: I found it relatively hard finding a good angle to glue down the head. You really should plan ahead here and take care that the head has a good fit on the place you plan to glue it down. Also, I recommend assemble the left arm before you glue it to the torso. Make sure to let the weapon and attached arm completely dry before attaching it to the torso, because otherwise you might snip off the weapon from the arm when you get the wrong angle and apply to much pressure. I also glued down the pouch after I placed the connected torso and legs on the base.

When I first saw that there were only 7 pieces of scenery in this box, I remember thinking that it seemed a bit frugal. “Only seven little bits of ruined wall? Pshaw.”

And that’s that. It’s a heavy box, this one, seams bursting (quite literally in my case) with plastic.If Chalnath doesn’t take your liking, or you would just rather wait and see if there’s another expansion box on the way that’s more up your street, it seems likely that we’ll be seeing at the very least two more expansions in the first two quarters of 2022. Perhaps save your hard-earned cash for those if Sisters and T’au aren’t your thing. It bears repeating that this is a monster of a Starter Set . The Sister Superior wears full Adepta Sororitas power armour and can wield a boltgun – the only member of the squad to have that honour. The new edition of Kill Team introduced the concept of Fire Teams. Fire Teams are basically how you make up your squad. Depending on your faction, you usually get either one or two fire teams in a Kill team. Army Wide Rules

Blimey. That’s a model and a half. In a set filled with excellent models, being able to make such an impressive stand-out figure really stand-out is quite the achievement. And doesn’t she just. The Pulse Accelerator drone can boost a group of Pathfinders through proximity alone. If you pair this with the Bonded Strategic Ploy, you can create a reliable shooting core with any Pathfinders. If you’re playing Sisters, you always need an Eviscerator in the army, even if you’re playing a stealth mission! Acts of Faith Compared to the compendium teams, Pathfinder teams essentially get a whole new suite of Equipment to play with. Photon Grenades return here, but as everyone already has Markerlights and the Shas’Ui comes with a Holographic Readout built in, this team calls for all-new options.
