It is a book of two halves – the first part is written by Jonathan’s mother and charts the events leading up to the accident that caused Jonathan’s problems. With the sibilance of the oxygen silenced, I inhaled deeply, the fresh air revitalising my new body and filling my soul with joy… the atmosphere was saturated in a deep, contented peace.

For Jonathan, this means that although he is fully aware of his surroundings, his only method of communication, and the only part of his body that he can move, are his eyes.It shows the importance of communication and how we need to be not settling for things we already do, but look and think about other ways in which we can approach learning.
